Day 5: Providing Financially

Reading: Proverbs 13:22
“A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children...”
Devotional: Financial provision isn’t about luxury—it’s about legacy. It’s not just paying bills, but modeling stewardship/management. When we honor God with our finances—budgeting, saving, and giving—we set our families up for blessing, not burden. (Jeremiah 29:11... "good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.") Don’t be overwhelmed by what you can’t do. Start small. Be faithful. The goal is obedience, not perfection.
Reflection: Are you modeling godly stewardship/management in your home?
3-Step Application:
Review your spending habits and identify one area to cut or redirect.
Begin teaching your family about giving, saving, and generosity.
Set a simple financial goal this month—like saving $100 or reducing debt.
Closing Prayer: God, You own it all. Help me to manage well what You’ve given me with wisdom and integrity. Let my financial life reflect my trust in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
