Worship Song: "Build My Life" – Pat Barrett
Reading: Colossians 3:23 (NLT) – "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people."
Devotional: The good news is that Jesus came to redeem every part of our lives—including our work. While work may still be challenging, it doesn’t have to be meaningless. When we shift our perspective and work as if serving the Lord, we find new purpose and fulfillment.
You may not love your job, but you can love how you work. When we bring integrity, kindness, and a heart of service into our workplaces, we reflect Christ. Every conversation, every task, and every effort can be a testimony of His grace.
Reflection:
How does knowing you work for the Lord change your approach to your job?
In what ways can you bring Christ into your workplace?
3-Step Application:
Commit your work to God – Dedicate each workday to Him and seek to glorify Him in all you do.
Encourage someone at work – Be intentional about speaking life into a coworker’s situation.
Practice gratitude – Even in a tough job, find one thing each day to be thankful for.
Closing Prayer: Lord, thank You for redeeming my work through Jesus. Help me to work with joy, knowing that my labor is for You. Let me be a light in my workplace, bringing encouragement and hope to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
