Updated: Dec 6, 2024

Reading: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12-13

Devotional: To be conformed to the image of Christ, we must know what He looks like. This transformation happens as we immerse ourselves in God's Word. Today's reading emphasizes the power and purpose of Scripture in equipping us for every good work and discerning the thoughts and intentions of our hearts.

Consider your current habits regarding Bible reading. Are you consistently soaking in God's Word? Even if it's just one verse a day, commit to spending time in Scripture. As you read, ask God to reveal more of His character to you and to shape your heart and mind. How can you make God's Word a more central part of your daily life?

Practical Steps:

1. Set aside a specific time each day to read Scripture; start with the verses 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and Hebrews 4:12-13.

2. Choose a verse that resonates with you and meditate on it throughout the day.

3. Try memorizing one verse this week to carry in your heart wherever you go.

Prayer: Dear Father, speak to me through Your Word today. Open my heart and mind to be transformed by Your truth. Amen.
