Worship Song:
🎵 "Build My Life" – Pat Barrett Listen Here
Reading:
📖 Genesis 1:27-28 (NLT) – "So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them and said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it.’"
Devotional:
God didn’t just create us to exist—He created us to build, cultivate, and steward. From the very beginning, humanity was given responsibility over creation. We were designed to manage, create, and work in a way that honors God.
Being a steward means caring for what God has given us—our jobs, skills, finances, relationships, and opportunities. How we work is a reflection of how we honor God. Are we faithful in our responsibilities? Do we cut corners? Are we willing to go the extra mile?
Everything we do should reflect His excellence, not just in the big moments but in the everyday, seemingly small tasks. Because when we work with purpose, we reflect our Creator.
Reflection:
How can you be a better steward of the work God has entrusted to you?
What areas of your work do you need to surrender to God?
Are you using your job as a way to serve and impact others?
3-Step Application:
1️⃣ Examine your attitude toward work. Are you doing it with excellence and purpose or just going through the motions?
2️⃣ Look for ways to steward your role well. Whether big or small, do your best with what God has given you.
3️⃣ Invite God into your work. Start each day by committing your job and responsibilities to Him.
Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank You for entrusting me with work and responsibility. Help me to be a faithful steward, using my time, talents, and energy to glorify You. May my work reflect Your excellence and bring honor to Your name. Guide me to be a light wherever I am. In Jesus' name, Amen.
