Reading: 1 Timothy 5:8
Devotional: Paul’s words are sobering. Ignoring the needs of our household is not just irresponsible—it’s a denial of faith. Why? Because the Gospel is provision at its core. God gave His Son to meet our greatest need: salvation. When we neglect to care for our families, we misrepresent the heart of God. Provision is not just financial—it’s spiritual, emotional, and physical. Provision is love in action.
Reflection: Where in your life have you neglected to provide—spiritually, emotionally, or physically—for those closest to you?
3-Step Application:
Identify one area where your family may feel under-supported.
Ask a loved one how they feel supported (or unsupported) by you.
Make one intentional act of provision today—whether a prayer, a meal, or an encouraging word.
Closing Prayer: Father, thank You for being my Provider. Help me reflect Your heart in how I care for those around me. Grow my desire to meet the needs of my household with grace and generosity. In Jesus' name, Amen.
